Applying to a University

You normally apply to the Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung online via "AntOn" (Application Online). If you use the application online, your details will be checked for completeness and plausibility while you are filling them in. You cannot therefore forget any significant details or leave any fields blank. The data information system "DaISy" (Dateninformationssystem "DaISy") of the Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung will also name the documents to be attached.

You will also receive an electronic confirmation immediately that your online application has been transmitted. The Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung will check your details .

As soon as your application has been processed by the Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung, you will receive another electronic confirmation that the data transmitted online has been transferred into the calculation programme of the Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung.

Please ask the portal for courses of study "hochschulstart.de" (Studienportal "hochschulstart.de") directly for information on the rules for allocating the courses of study ( Regeln bei der Studienvergabe) (selection quotas and the like).

You can observe the processing status of your application online with DaISy and also view, accept or reject offers for admission. Applicants, who cannot be selected in the first or second phase of the process, are informed accordingly via DaISy.

Finally, you will receive either a written notification of admission, which has details about the deadlines for accepting the place of study and registration (enrolment) at the institution of higher education or a written notification of rejection in which you get information on which ranking position you are according to the average grade and the waiting period and also details on the waiting list procedure.
